Where to Play with a Glow-in-the-Dark Disc
A disc lit by glowsticks is happy on almost any surface. Sand, dirt, grass, asphalt, pavement, artificial turf and snow are all fine. Water does not change how the light works, so a pool is also possible.
Good places to start
- the beach, where games can continue after sunset
- local parks and forest preserves
- college campuses
- a family outing at the pool
- campsites
- tailgating lots
- your own back garden
Day and night
The disc can be used in daylight like any other and then lit once the sun goes down. That means a single disc can serve for an entire day of play, from morning until late in the evening.
Safety
Look over the playing area before you begin. Potholes, uneven surfaces and stray objects are easy to miss in the dark. The disc has small parts, so keep it away from pets. Read the glowstick tips before activating sticks.
